I'm off for a week of double vacations...hooray!

I just wanted to give a quick peek of this adorable little one. I'm SO excited to finish these!! Have a great week everyone!

Girl time!

These girls and their wonderful family have been family friends of ours for a while now. Knowing these girls before the shoot was fun because I knew their sweet and crazy personalities that I really wanted to portray. I am so glad we know this great family--hopefully you'll see more of them in the future!

I'm so happy this little one was just herself...





...I also love that her sisters enjoy her as much as we do!

Dave and Family

How late I am getting this session blogged...that seems to be a common theme these days.

Well here they are: Dave and his beautiful wife Macey, and his big fun family. Dave and I work together at the hospital--he is such a goof ball and his kids are exactly like him. Go figure. :) But I must give props to each one of them for being SO cooperative. It made working with a family of 8 quite enjoyable!

Hehe, it would help if I put the right last time as the title. What fun kids! This really was a fun shoot.

And I'm realizing how much I looove baptism dress photos....they're like mini bridal sessions. :) We girls like to feel like a princess for a day, and this little girl certainly looked like one!

Family Pictures

I just want all you moms out there to know that I feel your pain. Even though we all know how important family pictures are, I also know how much stress...I mean fun-filled time and effort goes into the preparation. It is not an easy task to get 4 kids dressed up, cleaned up, and geared up--then to watch each of them with insane intensity as they somehow escape the muddy puddles that are out to get them and the purple suckers hiding in car seat crevasses.

This family knew how to handle the heat. And towards the end of the shoot when the marbles were being lost, the wonderful true colors came through.

Embrace the craziness. It's something we moms certainly can't hide from--so let's just join in, shall we?

Little Man

Get a load of this little guy!

He belongs to a friend of mine way back from high school days. I had randomly switched schools my senior year, for some reason I can't remember. My fears of being a cast-out vanished when I met her the first day of volleyball tryouts. She and I led the team through a pretty sorry season...but they were great memories nonetheless. :) She's one of those blue moon friends--you know, those ones you see every once in a blue moon, yet you're able to pick up like it's been no time at all.

She and her husband just welcomed their first beautiful baby! Congrats, Jessika.
